Increased Career Advancements on a Global Perspective

A study shows that the number of students pursuing law in the UK keeps rising due to the expansive opportunities and flexibility provided by UK universities and institutes in pursuing law. The Law Society of England and Wales and the Bar Council of England and Wales offer formal accreditation to all LLB programs, even for joint degrees.

The National Law University in Delhi has combined hands with the Durham Law School for the transfer program that allows students to pursue LLM in the UK. Currently, the eligibility to apply for higher education in law is 70% and above in 12th. Students who have completed undergraduate programs can apply directly to the fast-track 2-year law programs in the UK, which is a 2 LLB Senior Status program. To motivate the students to enroll in the joint degree programs, Bruce Wardhaugh, professor of Competition Law and Deputy Dean for Internationalization at Durham University, states, “We want to collaborate with top law schools in India, recognizing the importance of Indian law and law schools. National Law University (NLU) Delhi is one of the top-ranked institutions in India, and we had some pre-existing relationships with them, which we solidified a few weeks ago when we signed an MoU to foster greater collaboration among academics not just in Durham and India, but throughout Europe. The aim is to establish research focus on Indian law and improve its implementation in India."
