  • All fireplaces (if any) in students' rooms are blocked off. Students should never try to uncover them or use them.
  • Students living in Emery Hall, Andrews Hall, Minden, Gregorian Quad A & B, and Keeney Quad will have access to elevators. Besides that, most Wriston Quad buildings are equipped with chair lifts. 
  • The Residence Halls have fully equipped kitchens. Every kitchen features a microwave oven, refrigerator, cabinets, drawers, and sink. Students need to abide by health and safety regulations when using the kitchen. 
  • Students will have to use their Brown Card to enter their residence hall. Each card is programmed to open only the exterior door of the allotted Brown Residence Hall. To open the door of their respective rooms, on the other hand, students receive a brass key from the university. Some of the Residence Halls have Sabbath doors. If students request access to those doors and inform the authorities about the reason for their request, they will receive an additional brass key.
