Cost of Living 

For studying in France, a student needs to have a minimum of 50 euros to travel to the place of university. Besides, a student has to arrange for the following:

  • Rent for the first month (around €800 for a 20 m² apartment in Paris)
  • Security deposit (it is one month's rent in an unfurnished apartment and two month's rent in case of a furnished apartment) 
  • Monthly public transportation pass (€40 on average with a student subscription and €85 on average for a regular subscription)
  • Expenses in a 20m² studio may go up to €2,500
  • When a student will be staying for more than three months, they have to pay more than €77 for validation.
  • Meal at a restaurant having main course and desert costs €20
  • The monthly food budget for one person equals €200 at the least. 

Paris-Saclay University Scholarship 

International Master's Scholarships

The students willing to pursue a master's degree in the university are eligible for the scholarship. The period is 1 to 2 years when taking admission at the M1 or M2 level. 

  • Students of all academic levels are eligible 
  • Students pursuing master's degrees can apply for financial help 
  • Grant is 10,000€ per year for 10 consecutive months 
  • Students of foreign nationality living in France are eligible 
  • Students who are part of a French institute are not eligible

Eiffel Excellence Scholarship

  • The French Foreign Ministry runs the scholarship and attracts students for master's and PhD study programs. 
  • In master's degree, 25 years or below, students can apply. 
  • The study programs are human and social sciences, science and techniques, mathematics, science and engineering, and others. 
  • Ph.D. candidates who are 30 years or under are eligible. 
  • Only first-timers are eligible. 
  • The master's level grant is €1,181 monthly. 
  • The PhD level amount is €1,700 monthly. 

The time limit for which a student can avail the scholarship is:

  • 12 months - Master 2 enrollment when in 2nd year of the Master's degree
  • 24 months - Master 1 enrollment when in 1st year of the Master's degree
  • 36 months for a Master of Engineering degree
  • In the case of a Ph.D. program, it is available for 18 months 

Paris-Saclay University Placement
