Student Residences- Studierendenwerk administers the student residences at Heidelberg University. This is an organization that provides services to the student population of Heidelberg. The students need to get assistance from the International Relations Office for securing rooms in student residences. Students can choose single occupancy rooms, where they can share kitchen and bathrooms with other students. Students can also opt for dormitories, and all the residences are located in different parts of the city. 

Private Accommodation- Rents for private housing or accommodation options are comparatively higher than the student residences. The housing market in Heidelberg, being limited, requires students to begin their accommodation search early. Students can begin their search on the ERASMUS Accommodation Service.
